Will it?

The thousand-dollar question is.  Will we get enough snow Thursday into Friday to open the trails for the weekend.  If we get the up to 9 inches I would say yes.  How good will it be, all depends on the type of snow we get and that you never know till it's on the ground.

Today's Video.................

  1. 9 looks like a stretch remember stop looking at the high side of a forecast or you will be disappointed. Based on the current NWS guesscast It looks like 4 or 5 is a good bet.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 4. Wind chill values as low as -5. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph.
Thursday: Snow likely, mainly after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 28. Wind chill values as low as -3. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Thursday Night: Snow. Low around 18. Breezy, with a southeast wind 16 to 21 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Friday: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 24. West wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

  5. Stop with the atv talk. Private land owners don’t want them. The restaurants and motel owners don’t want the mud in their places. Every business owners who do business knows there is ups and downs of running their place. Thing’s always come back around.

    1. Tell that to the banks I'm sure they would say it's ok pay me when you can ! Pretty sure you don't own a business, every business owner knows you loose even the slightest or margin you may not make it. Not saying ATV, SxS are the answers but when you have conditions such as they are, money in pockets is worth a little mud on the floor, and BTW most of OF trails are seasonal roads not private lands . But your right it's never going to happen people fear change.

    2. You hit it,these people don't want change, but when it hits bottom there going to wonder what happened and what do we do know. I would take a lot of mud to pay my lender and stay in business. But you are going to see a lot of empty store fronts if something isn't done.

    3. Board it up for the winter, don't try anything new that is all well and good if you think you can make it on the summer trade. The town has a MT. and that could be made into something but it hasn't and never will because no one want to change. Way behind the times

    4. I dont think you will have people coming in like you do for the snowmobile trails. We travel over 7 hours to get there. The trails, the frozen lakes etc. I can ride my atv 365 by my house or anywhere for that matter

    5. You have to start somewhere and try right now a few people are better than none

    6. I agree. Not everyone is going to go out and buy an ATV. People have too much money invested in sleds and apparel. You won’t see the families like you do with sleds. This unfortunately is a bad year. Suck it up buttercup and look forward to summer.

  8. Re: Stop Atv talk ! Exactly remember the town of Webb “does not own the snowmobile trail system” it is mostly private land owners who give the town permission/ lease to operate the trail system on their properties.. Also don’t embarrass your self and ride on the 6” of snow we may get and park in front of the Daikers Cam fri pm …👀

    1. There is enough town land to make something work it will take some work but if no one wants to change and try something new then just let it all dry up.

  9. either way i’m coming up saturday night and riding thru tuesday. 12in 6 inches I don’t care. i paid for 4 trail permits i plan on riding whatever is on the ground. At least the lakes are in pristine condition. If you know your way around you can get plenty of good rides using the lakes to get around.
