Saw some R early evening Wednesday but wasn't really anything to talk about. That is going to change on Thursday and we'll see the snow going away fast. On another note, did any of you notice the latest change in the camera network?

Can you believe it, we look for it all winter and we don't get it. Now that the gates are closed and the base is pretty much gone, we get half a foot and it's still snowing at 10:30pm. But it won't be around for long, as it going to be almost 60 on Thursday. It will be a good shot of water for the first weekend of white water rafting.

The pool has a little piece of ice left and my guess is it won't be long before the lakes are open water again. But after looking at the forecast for this weekend and seeing two nights going down to 5. It may be a little longer than I thought before we see the ice gone.

Freezing rain accumulations mostly around a tenth of an inch, with up to a quarter of an inch possible over the southern Adirondacks. Very light snow accumulations possible over the Adirondacks.

It's been spring the last few days. But the long range forecast has us back to winter next weekend. Not much else going on around Old Forge this weekend besides the parade on Friday.

For the heck of it I'm putting together a video every few days just so you can see what see have for weather. Tuesday morning on top of McCauley they had snow and we had R in town, in the evening we got a dusting everywhere.

Loaded the sled in the truck and headed to North Street for my last ride of the season. Happy I did it and unless we get a good dumping of snow, it is over for the season. In the time I was out, you could see the snow melting away with the warmth and sun. I included a 2 minute clip of my ride. Hope it holds you over till winter returns for the 2022-23 season.

The last two weekends we thought it was over and it snowed just in time to get in another weekend of riding. Doesn't look like we'll be saved for next weekend. Who knows maybe we'll get the last weekend in before the gates close for the season. I know wishful thinking, but it wouldn't be the first time we got a good dumping of snow the end of March.

This is starting to be a thing, snow just in the nick of time for riding that weekend. Here's what may save this weekend.

Just enough to make it worth coming up to pick up the trailer, for those that leave it for the season and get the last ride in on top of it.

Will there be riding this weekend again? The way it stands now, the answer is NO. There is some snow in the forecast for the end of the week and it all depends on what we get. If we do get enough to bring things back around that you could ride. It will be the last time, as next week the forecast has us in the 40's seven days in a row.

It's 10 pm and we have snow coming from the sky. Don't think we'll see all that much from it, but you never know. Power has been on and off half a dozen times or more tonight.
We lost most of the new snow we had gotten in the last week, in the last 24 hours. Warm temps combined with strong winds took it out, just like blowing on hot soup but in reverse and then through in some R on top. Hope everyone had a great season and who knows, you may just get in some more seat time before it's over. It looked like it was over just over a week ago and this past weekend the area was packed with sleds. It's not over till the 1st.

The weekend couldn't have turned out much better than it did. It did get a little warmer this afternoon than I would have liked. But over all you couldn't ask for a better weekend of riding. Today's Video says it all.

A week ago many thought it was over and if you look at the 24th video you would agree. But here we are a week later and now have some of the best conditions of the season. So how many more weekends will we get? Hard to say, but it will come to an end on the 1st. So enjoy it while you can!

Got the trail cam back online this morning and the 1 to 3 turned into 4 to 6. Go figure, but I'll take it.

The upcoming week and weekend are looking really good and if you can get away, I would. Because starting Sunday it looks like things are going to start going down hill again and it could be all over for the season. But some thought that last week and look at it now.

Sunday was a little crazy around here and then we lost power at 10pm. and it didn't come back on till after midnight. When it did come back on I headed out to plowed and got the cams back online. So here is Sunday and Monday's video together. Conditions must be pretty good. Because very few people stopped in the office today.
