I just looked and it was Thursday the 23rd when the 10 day guesscast was calling for 2 feet of snow all together. We have three days left before the 10 days are over and guess what. The 1 foot mark is still showing on the snow stick.

I see that it is NY State's "Free snowmobile weekend" this weekend. As in, if you are out of state, and have a current registration, you don't need to register in NY for the weekend. Does this also apply to the Old Forge pass this year? In years past it used to, but I can't find any info stating that this year?

DeleteI called the info center and got the update on the free weekend and the Old Forge trail permit. If you are out of state and registered in your home state you don't need New York State registration. But you will need a Old Forge permit.

ReplyDeleteGuesscast is calling for 6 to 12 by Saturday evening. With what we have seen from past snowfalls this winter. We should be good for 3 inches, half of the lowest number and that should get us there.
