The temp dropped down to 17 below last night and things sure firmed up. Traffic has been light today again and everyone coming back from riding is saying the same...no one is out there. Which in some ways is really good. Because things are getting a chance to set up and give us a good solid base for the season. A few people have asked and I am sure most of you have noticed. The cam at the info center is taking a shoot of the lake front on the quarter hour during the day and the bridge the rest of the time. Looks like it's going to get windy tonight. Cross your fingers it doesn't take out alot of trees. As they are hanging very heavy with snow and this snow is frozen right to the trees.
Here's Todays Video for.......
Sounds great can't wait to get back out riding in 2weeks!! Keep on snowing! Lakes should be making some ice in these temps!
ReplyDeleteHow are the tracks to Beaver River from Big Moose? Rails exposed or covered?
ReplyDeletewe were up 12/23 to 1/1, rode the tracks up to Beaver River & down to Otter Lake - all good very little iron.

What are they saying about the temps next week? Big warm up here in PA. I'm hoping it doesn't stick around for long, and doesn't get too warm up there!

ReplyDeleteNo. Watch yesterdays video towards the end. Happened Wednesday.
DeleteNo I'd give it another 2weeks mid January heavy Snow cover makes the process slower.
