Pretty close........

Well they called for 28 below and I had 29 below here at the motel.  But besides the cold we didn't see any other type of winter weather over night.  We really haven't been able to get a break this winter.  We have the cold and no moisture or we get the moisture and no cold to make the snow.  But Tuesday looks like it's going to be the make or break day for us.  So cross your fingers it's cold enough for snow.

Today's Video.........

  4. Just want to take a moment and thank El Nino for this absolutely devastating winter. Here it is the middle of Feb. and our sleds have yet to leave the garage. And here comes our first snow storm of the season and its going to wind up changing over to heavy rain with possible flooding and 50 deg?! We go from -22 to 50 in 2 days? At this point lets be done with this frigged up winter and move on to spring please!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. At least there is hope for old forge. I'm from NJ and own property in PA. The NE PA snow trails have been closed so far this season. It's a nice trail system, about 250 miles. People come from all over to ride. Last 2 years were the best in a long time. This year, broken hearts and broken wallets. The snow seasons are getting shorter. We have been saying, mid-feb thru march. The snow dance is on! Let's go! I'm tired of looking at the parked sleds on the trailer!

  6. If ever there was a time for the weatherman to be wrong, Tuesday is it. Most likely weather model shows 5-8 inches of snow followed by 1-2 inches of rain followed by 1-3 inches of snow. If that holds things are toast. Hope that front shifts in the right direction.

    1. I disagree that thing will be toast. Shows 4-6" today and changing to rain tomorrow afternoon then back to snow. During the week through sat shows 6-12" possible. Trails will be fine.

  7. Great job Steve. Was up Saturday and Sunday. It was cold BUT the trails were in much better condition then I expected. We rode out to Long lake and saw the vintage races. Then Rode the trails, which were pretty good. Thank you again for doing a great job. Stu

    1. Do you watch the weather? It will not remain cold. And I have no clue where you guys get your common sense from. You are saying because it was so cold over the weekend that the snow will stay when its 40 degrees and raining out? Why bother to make a comment like that?
