The R is over and now it's wait for the temps to drop back down. It's not pretty out there, but it could of been worse, we could of had a complete wash out. I did a scan of the parking lot this morning and then late this afternoon so you can see the difference between the two. I'm not seeing anything in the forecast to jump up and down about. But don't ever give up hope when it comes to lake effect. All we need is the cold temps, which are returning and for the wind to line up right.

Not a complete wipeout which I thought it might have been. Favorable change in the jet stream coming up next week,supposedly. I saw a stat that there is only approx 6% ice coverage on the great lakes compared to 50% & 65% the last 2 years at this time which is plus. Think positive people.

ReplyDeleteThe short answers to your question. Yes I have seen it worse. This past December was very much like they have been for the past few years. January really wasn't that far off. I rented the same amount of room nights as I did last year. The question is how is the rest of the winter going to be. You really can't say how a season was till it's all said and done. Some start out slow and finish great and others are just the reverse. I'll let you know April 1st. how it was. I'll be happy with an average winter when it's all done.
