The big numbers of lake effect went to the south of us and it would of been nice to see it up here. So who is in better shape, them or us? It all depends on how you look at it. Yes they got a foot or more of fresh snow southeast of the lake. But it's my understanding they had no base and where down to grass. On the other hand, we where still hanging onto some of our base. But we only got 4 to 5 inches of new snow. So who's in better shape? Your guess is as go as anyone's. I do know this, the snow we have isn't going anywhere this weekend.
Today's Video........
No grooming I'm assuming ???.....
ReplyDeletewhat would you think? just look at it
ReplyDeleteThats true steve some people will ride on that not me.I dont think you would ride on that either lets see what happens maybe you will get foot tonight lol.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know what the season snow total is at the information Center and what the average is at this time
ReplyDelete51 inches
Deleteno but the snow deficit is only half the problem. The other half is when snow does come the next days its 45 degrees and raining. Thats why there is no base out there. Dont believe a thing the information center says anyway. Up to a 4" base? Yeah sure. Get them a new tape measure and/or some glasses. Liars.
DeleteThe information center gives accurate reports. UP TO a 4 inch base they aren't saying there is a 4 inch base every where. Also marginal is the worst according to their rating system.

ReplyDeleteOMG!!! You crack me up! And yes I will be riding this weekend regardless. I think I will stay off the tracks as they always suck...
DeleteGood luck with the tracks
DeleteYou can whine or you can ride.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the TEAM DD gang out on 4th lake tomorrow! Will their cigar smoking ladies be riding as well?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know what the scoop is with those little group of homes next to the Theater in Old Forge? Are they rentals? Private owned?
ReplyDeleteGood question. They built them over the summer. Never saw for sale sighn's and they never advertised. Maybe it's affordable housing of some sort no one likes to talk about? They are all occupied if they were for sale I couldn't imagine them selling that fast.
DeleteThere are people at Stillwater in and out all day, what the hell are they riding on? I guess if you live local why not give it a shot.
ReplyDeleteFor those who are planning to ride (like crazy me) be careful of these cold temps especially with the kids. Avoid riding alone and break out those leathers from the 90's.
