Between the snow from the storm front yesterday and the lake effect last night and today, I'd say we got a good foot of new snow. Went for a ride to Raquette Lake last night and the snow that was coming down was very wet. It was freezing to the shields and the windshield on the sled. A few of the rooms hooked up with the Inlet Barnstormers Club today and I think they went for a ride over to the hill. Based on what guests where saying as they checked in today. Lake effect bands where south of Old Forge also and gave them a good dumping of snow to.
Today's Video for.................
Hey...a few of us from the dirty dozen are headed up for some lake rips. We haven't used the dam Thundercats in so long that the fuel is like laqor, but we'll get em barkin in good time. All these young pups with their "forward ride" panzy sleds!!! We let em eat, get back on the rear bumper and let it eat. Big Moose drag strip, we'll take any of ya's alls. I gotta get my trailer out of the backyard, fricken things hasn't moved since Clinton's first term.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Its hard enough to get a Cat started thats brand new let alone 30 yrs old. At least this year they will finally have a reliable engine and you wont have to clean your carbs in the bathtub. lol
DeleteHaha 10:36, i think it's time to hang it up, however, it is admirable to see that you have some fight left in ya, Srtap an oxygen tank to her and you'll be good to go
DeleteI cannot believe how you youngsters are trolling here and trying to hijack the Dirty Dozen. I am the real member who had made the previous posts - not these jokers from today. It's nice to get the attention though. Yes, we are a real group of 12 from neighboring camps that at one time all rode T-Cats and blasted from OF to the Hill on wild late night excursions - back when you could bar hop all wknd on snow packed roads from town to town-those days are long gone. No, there are no longer 12 left. So if you see one of us out there with a DD decal on a TCat, please show respect.
Delete10:36 Start slow old man. Don't have the Big One your first day, trying to beat the young-un's.
ReplyDeleteI'll see you on Friday Steve. Is there anything going on in the town like the winter carnival two weekends ago?
ReplyDeleteIce Harvest in Raquette Lake.
DeleteSteve, thanks for everything that you do on this site, it is much appreciated. My family and I made this video last weekend on 4th lake and we wanted to share it with you.

Tooooooo Funny! Thanks for my morning laugh!
DeleteHope more snow comes before the weekend so the roads arent toast.
ReplyDeleteTrailer to Fastrac and then North St = problem solved!
DeleteWish someone could help me with my trailer and sleds. I got grass growing through my trailer, and a bee's nest in one of the old thundercats. I hooked my dodge neon up to the trailer, and the damn thing sank into my septic tank. Won't keep my down, the dirty dozen rides on. If you aint ridin a drag strip, you aint ridin.
ReplyDeleteLive by your last two words, don't ride.
DeleteWILL THE SNO BASH OFFER DEMO RIDES ON THE ALL NEW YAMAHA VIPER SLED?? PROCROSS CHASSIE WITH A NYTRO MOTOR
ReplyDeleteBRRAPP!!!
What are these "roads" that people are asking about? I ride just about every weekend in OF, and have never had a problem because of a road with no snow.
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to ride from BigMoose lake to eaglebay on the road?? Dave
Here we go...get the popcorn ready...
ReplyDeleteWhat time where you at the tap room?
ReplyDeleteI'm the worst one to ask about time. Because I loss track of it all the time. My guess would be between 7 and 8.
