It's been a very quite one around here, that is for sure. Last night we went out to The Big Moose Station and had a nice New Years Eve dinner. It looks like they have more snow up there, than we have here in Old Forge, but still not enough to ride on, at least in my book. But during our time at the Station, I saw three sleds go past. So to those three diehards, I hope you had a Happy and Safe New Years Eve!
9pm update: The lake effect has moved into the area and is snowing at a good rate. Now cross your fingers that it stays in our area for a good long time.
Today's Video.........
Happy New Year Steve and family
ReplyDeleteLeaving Long Island now. Headed up for some riding . It's amazing how things can be bad snd change in a few hours
ReplyDeletestay HOME!!!!!!!
DeleteOld forge got 6 to 8 inches of fluff, more air than snow on top of no base, for gods sake stay home the riding will be no good
Deleteits guys like dave that really aggravatse me. The town is "trying" to pack down that very little snow we just got into some base. But guys like him want to ruin it for the rest of us and rip it all up so we will be down to dirt in a few hours. So we will have to start from scratch again. That new snow NEEDS to be packed and then freeze solid before any riding can be done. Say goodbye to that very thin base. Thanks dave. Just say you are wrong and stay home. Kids I tell you, kids. Don't give a damn about anyone but themselves.
Deletewow! to of my friends are up one made it 2 hours and the other about 3 hours before they threw studs into the coolers on brand new sleds i'm glad mine are still in the garage! they just never learn.
DeleteIdk how long it stayed in of but it looks like we got a little sun
ReplyDeleteLet us know how the trails are Dave, thinking of heading up Monday or Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThere are riders out. Having fun, that's all that matters.
ReplyDeleteTrails are pick and choose. Some are bad and some are just ok. I will tell you this. There are a lot of people having fun.
