Yes we lost all of the snow we got the other week. But I think it did help things out in a round about way. Just like the rest of the region, we had a dry season and this melted snow put moisture into the soil. Which will help frost settle in much faster and it also cooled the soil down. Because up until that snow, it was bike riding weather here in Old Forge.
Today's Video...............
Once again... Like life...
ReplyDeleteIt's all about timing.
I like NJ-Sno-nut post, Headed to town for snowdeo, if we ride great, if not we will catch up with old friends and meet new ones.
ReplyDeleteWE can't change the weather just looking forward
ReplyDeleteto coming to Old Forge on the weekends. Maybe the weather is something President Truump can fix.
Snow gone again what else is new I'll keep my sled just in case but not planning any trips anytime soon if it ain't perfect I'm not wasting my time
ReplyDeletemust look like new since you never ride it
ReplyDeleteI put on 500 miles riding last year, if I had your attitude I wouldn't have ridden at all. To be honest it wasn't all that bad
ReplyDeleteFYI Weather Underground is the worst at forcasting snow.Ilove the web page and graphs when I check old forge forcast, but they had (3-5)for yesterday and(3-5)for today. Not the first time.P.S. big moose has a fresh 3 inches of wet snow.
ReplyDeleteSteve, If snowless Snodeo where is a good place to hang out and meet some new friends these days in OF? Heard Slickers Inn and Dikers Tavern are neat places.
ReplyDeleteFollow the squirrels... Tho if the Head Goose Doesn't Follow the geese, U Mite wanna Check INN with the Moose
DeleteThere is not question the temps have been higher than in years past and west winds of off the lake do the lake effect thing for us. The only thing I noticed this fall was the squirrels worked overtime. Not sure if that means anything or not.
