  6. Hi Steve!
Saw several guys and gals riding old iron skidoos and indy 500s Friday over in Brantingham on Abbey road. I thought we had to wait until hunting season was over?

    1. Hi,

Can't say what the rules are in Brantingham. But in Old Forge the trails and roads don't open till hunting season is over.

    1. Starting Thursday the forecast is looking more like winter again. It's all going to come down to how much R we see in the next few days before the cold returns if we lose it all. The 18" of snow we got last week settled down to around 11". With the warm day time weather over the last few days and some R this morning it's down to 4 to 5". Can't say for sure how much of that is settling or just plan old melting. There is some frost starting to settle into the ground with the morning teen temps we have had over the last week. First lake even had some ice on it yesterday morning.

  9. Steve,
Where is the shootout this year? Last year the Ole Barn had the pleasure. Is Ron hosting again this year or have they moved on?
