Well the R stopped over night and the cold temps have returned. This morning we woke up to lake effect snow showers and we have gotten about two inches of new snow. Not enough to really go out riding. But enough to suck up the sitting water and start things to freeze back down. But you will see in today's video that there are a few people out giving it a try.
Today's Video for.............
Steve this Hurts You more then Us to post these Video's and have to Say Poor to Fair Conditions with No Sleds out front in your cam. You are a Honest Business Man and I know as a Property owner the Summer Season has been the place to be then winters in Old Forge compared to the 90s But keep up the Great Efforts. It sucks riding Last Sunday 100 Miles around Bumpless trails and this week having to watch the video's for the weekend cause its not worth the time or $$.. THINK SNOW and Again Thank you for the time do have your website and Cams..
ReplyDeleteare you serious? The conditions have NOTHING to do with Steve. Its the report from the town. THEY report the conditions. Its no secret. Public information on the old forge website. And no sleds in front of the camera can mean they are all out riding the great conditions. Not hard to figure out when the rec center and stillwaters shows no sleds then nobody is out riding.
DeleteYou Must have missed 4th or 5th Grade. If you could read his post he is Saying Steve loses $$ to Room Rentals when he has Poor to fair conditions.. Steve's Efforts with his Live 1 Min Video is to show
DeleteYou must of missed 2nd or 3rd grade. The OP said Steve HAS to say poor to fair conditions. In fact he dosent have to say anything at all. Conditions are posted all over the internet. So nice try there kid.
DeleteHad a good weekend but Monday was the best riding.
DeleteNice job on the updates
ReplyDeleteNOW its a party!
ReplyDeleteThe above is a perfect example of someone trying to project onto others what they truly are. Good job of that.
ReplyDeleteTOW locals are alot of things but midgets is not one of them.
ReplyDeleteLOL...it's all in good fun right...whew the hell is the snow ???? My gut tells me there will be no good riding until February....
ReplyDeleteI think you are correct. This month is a wash. Gonna rain again tonight into tomorrow morning. The 10 day outlook shows basically no snow. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha..... you have to laugh. And you wonder why they are trying to stop snowmobiling in the Adirondacks. Just a matter of time.
DeleteIn TOW it will never go away. People who live there use sleds.
DeleteIve had place near Red Dog since 1986. (I'm from Lee Center originally) Big difference I see is huge % of the Utica-Rome, Cuse, & Rochester camp owners have sold.
The newer owners did not grow up in snowmobile culture and think sledders are loud mouths who pee on the roadside.
Other than some business owners,(many arent even open now in the winter) most cant see any reason to go out of their way for sleds. ($ spent in local economy means zero to them)
Wow, I agree. That was right on the money. I live In NJ. takes me 6 hours to tow to Forge. I have towed my sleds. Way more miles than rode them. I have a very understanding boss. I have cancelled vacations and set them around weather last minute. I have lost a lot of 1 night reservation cancel policy. Just saying. That rule should be adjusted. In the 90s rooms were sold out. Now I doubt it. .
Deletein the late 70s and 80s most of the motels and hotels sent your deposit back if there was no snow! or kept it for another time. that hole town is a has been.
Deleteyeah...I could just cry !!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like possibly 12 to 20 inches starting saturday through wednesday..hey what the hell...I gotta have some damm hope !!! LOL.....uuuuuugh
ReplyDeletewtf!!!!!!!!! $22,000 new sleds $!0,000 new trailer $42,000 new truck You cant buy snow on the sled trail should have bought a boat
ReplyDeletewelcome to the sport...the dude who said "liability" in a former post was right on the money !!!
ReplyDeleteThe housing prices up there sure haven't come down any.i have looked in to buying a place for 2 years now and the summer is what really keeps the town going and prices up. a good winter is a bonus to most cause there is no where in nys that maintains there trails like OF that's the reason everyone comes there in the winter I'm from buffalo area and are trails absolutely suck even if we get any snow that is!!
