We have gotten a foot plus and there is still snow in the air at 7pm. Forecast is calling for more lake effect bands tonight into the morning. So we just may hit that two foot mark yet. Had a guest check out this afternoon and he was all smiles when he came back in from riding. So is this going to be the last weekend? Who knows, we all thought last weekend was and look at it now.
Today's Video for............
all the snow is great...the tug hill gets a ton of snow every year, but their grooming is nothing like OF's. I'm coming up tomorrow to enjoy the all the new snow...here is to hoping that the grooming doesn't disappoint!! Happy Spring!...a day of riding and some Cuse basketball at night, what could be better!!
ReplyDeleteIs there a way to get to Walt's dinner from the motel via my sled?
ReplyDeleteYes you can get to it off of Garmon Ave. Which is the street behind it.
Delete300 miles between Tues and this afternoon. Many posts on here yesterday about grooming. Yes they are out. Although it was nice to find some trails with 12" of fresh and powder coming over the hood!!! Trails and tracks all good some roads OK others are the same as they have been all year :). Last night trail 2 looked like the Thruway and nobody was on it. It was so good I hit it twice. There is certainly enough to ride and it is simply amazing for this time of the year and the lake effect is still dumping. Even snirt alley on 5 was all white! I will be back on Friday and for those that have bashed the place please feel free to ride the couch this weekend. For those looking for some smiles and miles get up there and "get some". Call in sick if you have too it will be worth it. Enjoy and ride safe
ReplyDeleteTrails in the OF system are wide and fast. Groomers going way out to widen and steal snow today. Yeah, how about all the powder coming over the front and hitting you on the sides huh? Sick day and the lake effect was so strong at one point we pulled over because you couldn't really see....love it!!!
ReplyDeleteSteve - I know another one of your guests who would have been all smiles pulling in after experiencing those awesome conditions today but he pulled in a good hour after you did your vid tonight...haha
HOPE they plowed access to Thendara storage units..up the road.
ReplyDeleteBringing a snow shovel to OF with us..NOW that's ironic.
BTW ...back in what year ..I think it was in the early 80's /..rode on last day( Sunday) in mid April..I do know I had a leaf spring sled...and It was warmmmm.
Dear Steve:
ReplyDeleteJust want to thank you for all your reports. It is so great to know what is going on in OF. We have a vacation rental and I know many visitors check your blog out too! Thank you for all the hard work you do to let people know what is going on and taking care of the cameras! You should post all year! Again, thank you for all your information. Have a great spring, summer and fall. --Carolyn
