Cross you fingers.............

Forecast is looking better for the beginning of the week.  Who knows we may have riding for Christmas week this year.  At the least, I hope we have enough snow for the kids to enjoy their outdoor Christmas presents. Hope you have your Christmas shopping almost done.  Christmas is only a week and a half away.

Today's Video...............

  18. Well , Well AC's out ,Yamaha's out AC's looking for a ATV MFG to buy them (Hint, Hint) Polaris is cutting back on the snow side, BRP pushing the water sport side. Like it or not life's changing for the bad/ good does it really matter? Not !! My Grandfather would say when I said I wished for something his answer was always, "If Wishes were Horses then Beggars would Ride" Now try to change what you can, and except what you can't. Great advise from an old man that's been gone for some time now. It's time to except what you can't . I realize there's going to be riding this season and lets hope it's great that doesn't change what the future holds.

    1. That’s correct the writing is on the wall in a couple more bad years more people will get out of the sport clubs will perish funding will be down on local and state levels trails will shut down dealers close up or switch to atvs ,utvs as the mainstay.unfortunately its all starting to go away and the manufacturers know this they see what’s going on too . Good riding when there is good riding is like 6 to 8 weeks now if that and it doesn’t look like a good future for snowmobiling anymore.still going to keep what I have and ride when I can but it’s sad have been riding since 1986 but it will never be like it once was.

  19. According to SnowGoer Magazine, in the early 1970’s there were 258 snowmobile manufacturers. The best known in the US were Ariens, Arctic Cat, Boa-Ski, Brutanza, Chaparral, Evinrude, FAST Blade, Johnson, John Deere, Kawasaki, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Mercury, Moto-Ski, Polaris, Ski-Doo, Sno Jet, Suzuki, Scorpion, Yamaha, and Rupp, just to name a few. As this old timer remembers, the crappy, low snow winters of ‘72, ‘73, and ‘74 bankrupted the majority. The survivors enjoyed the latter snowier part of the late 70s. Winter goes in cycles, sometimes for 20 or more years at a time. Get a negative AMO (Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation) and the east is buried in feet of snow until the spring. AMO has been mostly positive for the past 15 years and hopefully flips to the cold phase soon, so the final 4 standing don’t get wiped out too!

    2. ahhh...I dont believe that. The weather has changed, and ALL over the country. As far down south as Florida. But its more prone in the NE. Swings of 20+ degrees in a matter of days. Yesterday was 48 near me and Sunday, 3 days later it shows a high of 25. The back to 45+ by the end of next week. This isnt warm winter patterns. This is extreme changes in temp in short times which have been the norm for years. I would NOT be surprised if this stays like this forever. Christmas time, NO snow. Has been like this for a few decades. 40 years ago there was snow starting Thanksgiving through March. Times are long gone.

    1. Just build a normal sled that will take you there and get you back. Don't have to go 90 or more. Slow them down and enjoy the outdoors. I haven't seen any new sled that doesn't look like something from stupid of the wall movie.

    2. I've seen a few sleds on the trail cam. If you're just looking to get in some seat time, you can. But understand it is limited trail riding conditions.
