Rafting on the Moose River is over for the season. I got the phone call last night that the river is to low and the trips were canceled for the weekend.
Hope with all the money going into the mountain they are going to put in a lot of snow making or it will be another waste of money. With snow making you need to make all you can when you can and that may mean 3-4 or 5 days straight running you never have enough snow as all of you now. Build that base when you can, more base longer the season.
Anything is possible if you have a lot of money. It would take miles of water line and electric wire not to say all the digging. But all the trial money is going to the MT. so it can lose more money.
That sucks.
ReplyDeleteFor the entire season??
ReplyDeleteOn the Moose River it's over. They raft other rivers in the area during the summer months.

ReplyDeleteMcCauley was one of the last ski areas in the area to close this season because of the snow base they had built up over the winter.
DeleteWhat was the thickest base they had ?
DeleteCan we put some snow making machines on the trails…
DeleteI couldn't tell you for sure. If I had to guess I'd say three to four feet at places.

Delete36" to 48" is nothing. Need to install snow making equipment and make a business out of that place or sell it to someone that can.
