Got numbers..............

Believe it or not we have snow in the forecast for the next six days and some days with amounts.  Will we get it is another story all together.  My guess is we'll get it or more.  Just because we really can't do much with it at this point besides look at it.

Today's Video................

  1. The comments at the board meetings about night grooming? How in hell do you groom when you have no snow or a little snow and warm temps. Sanding roads? It is a road and needs to be safe,if there was snow then there would be no problem. So again what's the problems with the trails? Lack of snow is the big problem. So what's the Problem No Snow its not the highway dept or the trail dept problem its the weather dept's problem.

    1. My belief is, that people are talking about what would be a normal season not your knee jerk reaction to this season , they were talking about making things better moving forward, such as grooming at night , as for the roads they are DOT that are required to be safe (salt) that said a trail could be cut from big moose lake to Uncas road bypassing all of that whole mess, (been proposed) that won't happen ether , as for Roxdaxe Rd that would be tricky , So if your goal is to complain and spout off you have succeeded

    2. Theyre paid to groom. Grooming at night is the way it should be done. Grooming during day and evening when sleds erase what was done in 15 minutes is asinine. The clubs have been doing a better job by far the last few years with their trails then old forge. Especially Brantingham and Turin.

  2. i’m calling the season. going up early wednesday morning to shut down the cabin and trailer the sleds home. I’ll make the usual stop at Waltz diner and order the challenger. Until next year you all have a great summer, and Steve thank you for everything you do. All of your efforts are greatly appreciated. Looking forward to harley season. Me and a couple buddies are going to laconia for bike week, never been so it should be a blast.

  8. I live on big moose road. Even in a good Winter the highway department plows the road to the pavement 5 am every morning. Leaving us the shoulder snow covered or shelving the snow banks I don’t think is too much to ask?

    2. Options for sure it was never as bad as it been in the past few years and it’s not because of lack of snow , down to pavement asap

    4. I’ve lived there 11years. Have 6 sleds on the trail. That plow wakes me
Up every morning. It’s actually ridiculous. Stop calling it a rideable road. Because it actually is’nt

    5. OK its not a rideable road close it down. The town has to plow the road and sand it for school buses and emergency vehicles log trucks. it all worked when it snow and was a real winter. But now with no snow it doesn't work with no snow so make the best of it. As far as the plow waking you up don't know what to tell you maybe move but don't move close to a airport because the planes and the plows will wake you up to

  9. As far as 24hour grooming is concerned. It’s a sham. You would think after the trails take a beating on Saturday that Saturday night would be a grooming priority. But no. There isn’t a groomer in sight till sometime on Monday. After the vast majority of riders have left. I find the trails most Sunday mornings to be horrendous. OF should be ashamed of themselves charging 100$ a sled

    1. The amount of Snow Temp And Rain has a lot to do with grooming. It's like making snow temp. is the key everything has to be just right. And the last few years have been no good.
