Cross your fingers that the 10 day forecast comes true. It may not be great conditions, but we'll be able to ride. The ground is frozen, so there won't be any melting when it does start to snow.
Don’t you think it’s crazy that your saying if the forecast comes true will be riding next weekend. It won’t be good but at least we can ride. It’s the last weekend of January and your saying that! This winter I think Is worse than 2012. I’m pulling my kids out of school and plan on riding next Wednesday-Sunday. It’s like you have to put a whole seasons riding in 5 days because you don’t know what’s gonna happen after. Dave
Stats since 1991. Slowest January by room nights until this year. 1996 was record holder at 138 room nights. 2012 wasn't all that bad at 277 room nights. 2022 had 251 room nights. Are you ready for this year? As of today Tuesday the 17th I have rented 41 room nights this month so far. But with that all said. Life is good, my feet hit the floor this morning!
The only reason 1996 was low was there was plenty of snow in Pennsylvania. That's the only year since 1990 that I didn't goto Old Forge. Think snow stay right !
This is the way I see it if you are a die hard very committed sled head then you will be dedicated to this form of entertainment through the worst and the best of the winter conditions the people that I have the utmost compassion for are the people that have businesses that rely on our patronage so when you think you have it so bad try not being selfish and think about them if it wasn’t for them we would be riding in our back yard 😎
