I think Monday morning is going to be the coldest one we've had this season so far. Forecast is saying -2, but I'm predicting more like 10 to 15 below. We had sun today and believe it or not, that can be a good thing in some ways. It isn't good for keeping the roads covered. But it can be good for the trails, it softens them up during the day and then they freeze down at night making for a better base. Not much else to report on, besides winter is here and I hope you're getting a chance to enjoy it.
Today's Video.........
TEAM DD history lesson - It all started back in the 1980s when a group of 12 guys out of Jersey took over the snowmobiling scene in Old Forge. They called themselves the dirty dozen, rode big bore Arctic Cats and created chaos and mayhem all over the TOW. Slow riders were body slammed 2x2 and run off the trail. Drag racing at 12 noon every Sat. on 4th lake. You loose you would have to buy or else. After several years of their rein of terror the town fathers ran them off and barred them from TOW. Around 2005 TEAM DD surfaced again in TOW. Siblings with respect for the law and other riders emerged. Thundercats and F7s were the preferred ride for many years. They are still around today but maintain a low profile. The big t-cats are gone replaced by another brand this year due to lack of factory AC support. High noon each Sat. on the 4th in front of Daikers for a look see.....!
ReplyDeleteThey're still riding AC, but may want you to think otherwise. Team DD remains true to their roots but with today's Thundercats. Would never switch to a non-American brand.
DeleteTake your team TEAM DD and go to Onieda Lake and make a history lesson
ReplyDeleteTeam DD plays exclusively in TOW. Beware.
