We have a few people in and the feedback I am getting from them is, we're having fun! Traffic has been light today again and that is really going to help in setting up the base. There has been light snow in the air all day and by the way the forecast looks, it may be this way most of the week. It appears that Old Man Winter and Mother Nature must be back on talking terms, because conditions sure are shaping up for snowmobiling and skiing here in Old Forge. The trail cam has been on and off because of the snow sticking to the trees and playing games with the wireless feed.
Today's Video.......
Snowed all weekend!! Trails are in Better Shape today then all of last season.. Clearly MRP has a Lot more snow then Oldforge and with out any ice on the lakes the trails are getting worked quick.. Spun off 205miles in 2 days... Maybe 150 sleds all weekend..
ReplyDeleteWE NEED THIS STORM ON THURSDAY TO SET THE NYS TRAILS UP FOR THE SEASON

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all and to all a snowy night!
ReplyDeleteDo you think the lakes will be safe by thurs? Please, no wise ass comments.
ReplyDeleteNO WAY
DeleteI hope your not serious.
Deletehow is there only a 2in base? 2 feet of snow. Doesnt make sense. You would think 3-5 base. I guess they want to keep people away. Are we welcomed in town? Guess not
Delete2 feet of snow? Who came up with that? Not even 1 foot.
DeleteCan't believe someone would ask that. What rock did you crawl out from under? And then for Mr. 10:03 AM what doesn't make sense is you would really think the snow to date (last week) fallen on relitively warm ground would come anywhere near a 3-5 inch base. We all know ~10 inches packs to around a 1 inch base. Take your agenda with you to somewhere other than town and here.
DeletePlay nice. People are just trying to get some information from those that are lucky enough to live in areas such as Old Forge. Thanks to those that politely answer the questions asked of them.
DeleteMerry Christmas
