Channel 2 in Utica posted: Lake effect snow is gearing up for a comeback Tuesday into Wednesday in Upstate New York
Arctic air crossing the Great Lakes will flip the lake effect switch back on, with the most persistent snow setting up across Tug Hill and parts of Western New York. Snowfall rates could be heavy at times, and travel may be difficult in the usual hotspots. Snowfall accumulation looks in the order of a few feet in the heaviest zones (TBD).
The wind direction should keep the brunt of heavy accumulation out of the Mohawk Valley.
