Still in effect............

The winter storm warning is still in effect till 7am Thursday.  It's sad to say but I'm getting to the point where I look at the lowest snow amount in the warning and figure on that as the total.  And that's OK by me.  Just think what conditions would be like if we got half a foot of wet snow every week.  Just a heads up, I most likely won't be doing a post Thursday.   Heading out of town for the day to go Christmas shopping.

Today;s Video..............

  2. Steve, this forecast looks like a straight-up setup. We’re cruising along looking AMAZING through Wednesday — pure snowmobile heaven — and then Mother Nature rolls in like a drunk ex at 3AM ready to ruin everyone’s plans. Doom. Gloom. Apocalypse. The whole nine yards.

I’ve got whiplash from checking the weather apps. One minute it’s mint, next minute it looks like Old Forge is about to get drop-kicked into spring. I’m emotionally unstable at this point.

So yeah… we’ve got a few sick days coming — and then the fan is gonna get blasted so hard it might take flight. Enjoy the good stretch before the trash hits the turbines.

  3. Really Dave ,
The whole creative writing thing has gotten to your head ,since when is the last time anybody’s really rode in December it’s been a minute for sure , mid January through the middle of March is when it all happens .Thats the way it has gone that’s the way it will go. Not sure why you always get so jammed up, you start in Dec it’s “Over” then come January you get a ride in and best conditions ever , then it’s over again Sell it All” then you get a ride in , best conditions ever, it goes on and on
We get what we get. My mother would always say when I was hoping for something,
“If wishes were horses then beggars would ride” the season is 112 days long ride when you can. It the trails suck go out to dinner get to know the locals,go to the movies that place it a step back in time , walk around Inlet buy a stupid trinket . put some money in their pockets. Lord knows they depend on it
Way more to this town than the trails .

    2. Sold my sled 4 years ago unfortunately with arthritis and back issues couldn’t do it. So glad I rode all the years I did. Had a lot of fun up north. Now on to restoring the 65 Gto and the Malibu.
