I'm sure I'll upset some by what I said in today's video. But it's no different than building a house. It's only as good as it's foundation and that's what we're doing. Building a foundation or as it's called in snowmobiling "Base". We'll have riding till Thursday morning. But by noon Thursday temps will be above freezing and may even hit 40, with some R overnight into Friday. Looks like a good weekend to stay home and get ready for Santa.

True but having been able to get out on one this early has been quite a luxury if compared to the last 4-5 years sans 2024/25. So I would say thank the snow gods for smiling on us and pray the remainder of this season continues to reward us so well. Or, move to Florida and buy a boat.

ReplyDeleteThis isn’t rocket science. You don’t ride in rain and 40-degree temps and magically end up with good trails. Close it down, lock the gates, let it freeze back up, then open it the right way. Miss a couple days now or spend January riding dirt and complaining on Facebook.

DeleteThere was a time I would just go for it , But now I don't see the young man looking back in the mirror anymore you have to take pause ! Running the Ice this early is just something I don't have in me anymore . good luck on who's running the flow, maybe the set back maybe but if your flat out to Beaver river Oh Boy !!!
