Well attended..........

By what I saw and heard Snodeo was well attended this year.  Sorry I don't have a time lapse video of the event like other years.  I was instructed to turn off the camera I had inside of the building to do them.  Vintage show also had a good showing of sleds.  Funny what a little snow will do.

Today's Video..............

    1. Trail 5. It looks like it's across from the Mountain House.

  2. We own two sleds 2016, purchased in Binghamton in the early fall brand new. Delivered to a well known storage place, as well as taking care of all the maintenance. ( not sure if can mention names, sorry Bob). Been there since. we have rented for the entire season, most years and only ever missed one hotel wise. Always, always look for you videos and the Webcams. I had the opportunity to see how the town handled the change in Webcams, citing security, with no real explanation! Not to mention lack of communication with Steve. It's a small town ,don't act like we sent you a email or text or whatever technology you want to hide behind. The man has a business across from where I bet you all gas up! Honestly the way that group ran that whole meeting wow. The women close to center, well I will shut up about that.
Bottom line it leaves a bad taste in can't shake. Looking hard at tugg hill for the future.
Sorry for the rant , but I feel better

    1. Well said! What a kick in the a$$ the way they handled it!! Steve was good enough for 27 years to promote the town with his own equipment and time for free! He did an awesome job I might add! He still is using his own camera's and time for free with the help of businesses and property owners giving him permission! Thanks to these businesses who are listed above his camera's. Stop by and thank them! Way to go Steve!!!

  3. Funny how the outer loops stays bumped up… keeps everyone nice and close to town, right? 😂
Hey, no complaints — that’s Old Forge. Ride smart, slow it down in the chop, and you’ll still have a blast.

    1. Your right Dave , the town meeting when the cameras are turned off it was discussed by not grooming the outer trails they will be forced towards the middle and the more time a group passes a restaurant the chances of them stopping increases. $$$$ it’s a brilliant idea. It’s call to the middle or TTM . Nothing to do with Snodo and the amount of traffic coming and going trying to make the best experience possible for a lot of new riders to the area.

    3. Marketing strategy, wonder why anyone would call BS? What do you think transpires on TugHill? Same strategy, been going on for decades. On the weekends OF trails are looking like tughills, moguls.com.

    4. If trails are bad time after time people aren't coming back . You people better stick to your day job.

    5. That is the dumbest thing I have heard yet If stores and restaurants are in that bad of shape better close up and lock the doors. What a mentality, and these are the people that are running the town.

    6. I have been going to Old Forge for over thirty years and You can tell Dave and a lot of people on here haven’t been riding very long. Because everyone knows weekends are a zoo!
Always has been and always will be!
The groomers got their hands full just keeping them local inner trails in one piece let alone the outer trails. They do them during the week best time to ride is during the week again if you were in this sport for a while, you would know this!! Stop your whining!! There’s no whining in snowmobiling!!

    10. Too Funny , Weekend trails get turned into a slurry 5 minutes after a groomer goes by ,those back pack kids with the 8 inch risers sees to that. there is no way to keep up no different than free weekend , or any holiday for that mater. Don't get me starter on the Hill that's the wild west!!! Ride Friday (Day) and Sunday , Saturday you take what you get bring out the kidney belt.
