12:30PM Update The snow has started and it's sticking to the ground already. I drove some posts in the yard this morning and I'd say we have an inch or two of frost in the ground.

Total snow accumulations of 7 to 14 inches with locally higher amounts possible where persistent snow bands occur. * WHERE...Northern Herkimer and Hamilton Counties. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates will likely reach 1 to 2 inches per hours at times tonight into Tuesday within the heaviest snow bands.
