LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING

 LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO

NOON EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
of 5 to 10 inches with up to 12 inches in a few locations.

* WHERE...Northern Herkimer County.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will become difficult due to snow covered
roads and reduced visibilities.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow will begin tonight north
of Route 28 and Old Forge and slowly shift southward late Sunday
morning into the afternoon. The snowband may oscillate north of
Route 28 early Sunday evening before shifting southward
overnight into Monday morning. Snowfall rates may reach 1 inch
an hour at times.
