Old Forge Report

I've been getting allot of calls from people wanting to know if they should come up to ride or not. All I can tell you it's the best it's been this season so far. The report from the town is up to a 4" base in fair condition. Will it hold over the weekend? Your guess is good as anyones. It all depends on the temps, how many people show up this weekend and will the people that do come to the area respect the limited snow conditions that we have. I know the trail crews are out packing and with the temps we had last night the trails are sure to be getting hard.

Here's todays video......

  1. Steve,

I called and asked for this Sat Night winning NYS Lottery ##'s. Thanks a Million!!

The trails are what they are. we have nothing for snow or base. If you dont like stones or dirt then keep it in the trailer its fair at best.. Will it be better in 2 weeks if you wait Who knows...

  2. at -19 below and zero wind or snow coverage a body of water can make up to .78 inch a hr for the first 5 inches of ice...

  5. I'd like to know how the town figues 4" of base. It takes about 10" of fluff to pack down to 1" of base. With 8" or so at the beginning of the week on top of nothing a 4" base seems a strech.

  7. You guys wine so much.. Happens ever season before snow to ride... Its a snowmobile they all are worth the same $$ after 3 years weather it has beat to S** or low miles... Look at it this way. With Every Franchise dealership dumping new sleds yours is worthless now so go ride it on snow. Ice or Grass..

  8. You non sledders need to keep your comments to yourself. I'm surprised Steve allows it.

The trails are exactly what Steve posted above. I rode all day yesterday and this morning. No complaints. Sure the trails could be better as the snowfall builds up. It is what it is... Stop the whining...
