The temps have dropped back down below freezing and everything is firming back up. But we will need some new snow, in my book, to bring things back into shape for riding. I had the trali cam on for about 20 minutes and only saw three sleds go past it.
Here's Todays Video......
no snow in old forge drove truck 200 miles in area looking for snow found nothing really sad...
ReplyDeleteVery discouraging to see. There is a bunch of us coming in less than two weeks, and getting nervous now.
ReplyDeleteyou might want to head another 200 miles North Like were going to do in 2 weeks and ride Canada. This is a Repeat to Winter 2007 when the first taste of Winter was in Feb...
ReplyDeleteI expect some lake effect snows Friday/Sat but nothing that will
Steve your front yard looking real bad.
ReplyDeleteTime to put a snowman on the railing with what little you have
All PLEASE THINK SNOW
Can we make Mr Frosty? He always worked in the past. I will send my blessing since I always make him.

ReplyDelete6 weeks left at best. longrange forecast not looking good.
ReplyDeleteI think I can use my trail permits and my NY stickers to wipe my A_____...!!!! How bout a refund ???...
ReplyDeleteSteve, Do you know how much ice is on the lakes?
ReplyDeleteIf I were all of you I would rip up my permits, put my sled away and go South.
ReplyDeleteThis way when we get the snow I can ride without a bunch of crybabies.
This has happened before so veterns somowmobilers know it it will snow and we will ride.
riiiiiiiiight !!!!
ReplyDeleteNo crap! Shhhhhh.....please don't cry here.
ReplyDeleteLike it's life changing money $65 trail permit, $25 club membership and $45 to the State....
$110 per extra sled
Not to mention late Jan. and all of Feb. will surely offer great conditions and 3-4 days of quality riding days more than make the small investment well worth it. Now I could see getting a little pissed in the good, long seasons when they skimp a bit on the grooming due to low funds. I would think years like this make up for those and they should be up that money for the seasons more work is required.
Wish we could see one of those soon. Maybe next year???
yea not like half the money goes to the ski mountain.
ReplyDeleteI say BUILD THE SNOWMAN!!
ReplyDeleteanyone hear about lake effect friday into the weekend that accuweather is talking about? suppose to be significant
ReplyDeleteGod I hope so. I look forward to February and another few trips to come!!!!

What is the outlook for this weekend 13th, 14th is old forge gonna get any thing out of this up coming storm?
ReplyDeleteLooks like I was off by a couple days but if all goes well over the next week next Tues. 1/17 looks like the real start to the season. I see 12-14 inches of good fresh snow coming in the next 72 hours and VERY cold temps over this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThank God - Finally
