Not Looking Good............

Well I hate to say it, but the forecast isn't looking to good for mid week.  So I guess a few of you can say "I told you so", I always try to look on the bright side.   But after the warm up, it looks like the temps will be dropping again and maybe we'll see some unpredicted lake effect.  It wouldn't be the first time and I hope not the last, all depends on the wind direction.

I was out for a ride around town tonight and remembered that someone had asked about gas prices the other day.  So here's the scoop...Water Safari is $3.959 and Fastrac across the street is $3.329.  I'm not sure how often Water Safari changes their price.  But I have seen it change across the street three times in a week.

Hope you're ready for Christmas, only three days left!

    1. I'll have to agree with you on "this sport is so annoying". But I have seen it turn itself around in a matter of two or three days. Doesn't look like that is the case for us right now, but it can happen.

  4. It seems every year it's hit and miss with winter. This sport cost alot of money and even more when our sleds sit unused with more wax than snow time. Many times I've thought about getting out of it but I've met so many great people over the years and it's alot of fun and once you get out it just cost to much to start over. So all we can do is wait for mother nature and old man winter to give us snow. Merry Christmas and happy new year to all!

  5. Steve - just thought I would comment after reading your price for fuel up there. We just hit $1.91 a gallon for regular. Boy, its great down here in SC where the taxes are low, just no snow or snowmobile trails. I will save my money for my next trip to OF.

    1. Gas is high in OF. Its around $2.55-$2.65 here on Long Island depending where you are. I dont see how its so great in SC. You may pay $5K less in taxes but earn half of a NY salary. You are WAY behind the eight ball.

    2. Anonymous, salaries are relative when compared to the cost of living in an area. If a person makes less, but costs half as much to live where they do at the end of the day you both have the same amount of money in your pocket!

    1. very slim. Supposed to get cold next week but no real snow in the forecast. Gonna rain til Thursday so trails are toast. This is a re-run year after year. The snow does not stay around for more than a week at a time. Try mid January.
