It's in the air..........

We had a few flurries yesterday.  Today we saw a little more and it looks like predicted snow showers Wednesday morning.  Also seeing the first blue on the radar.

  4. NOAA predicts winter like last. Possible slightly more precipitation which isn’t really saying much considering last years flop of a season. Seriously though it hasn’t rained since August. Imagine this pattern continuing right thru the winter

    2. PA 23 million @ yearly windfall from ATV/UTV trail riding / never going to happen in NY imagine 1/3 of that in the area hello 1970's boom . " What about the MUD" waa !!! the dirt gets disturbed waa !!! Have to close my tourist supported business now that's something to cry about. No new sled again , not renting the cabin again, not expecting to get a season pass again. Sorry for the rant .

    3. Same here. 20 years of passes on 4 sleds. No house renting this year. Tired of cost with little riding Restaurants to expensive
      More so in tourist towns.
Not saying I’m not coming up. Just not shelling out the money preseason. Hope winter turns around. Think snow.

    4. Well as usual doubting Dave giving Us his point of view.. BUT I have to agree with him on this one..The fact that it hasn’t rained in over a month! We need some liquid precipitation. Bad! I’m afraid that this trend is going to carry over into winter. Maybe it’s time to throw in the towel

  5. It’s Mother Nature! That’s something you can’t do anything about.

    1. I don't believe the statement (s) are about Mother Nature it's more about enjoying the outdoors and the frustration that goes along with that. Who knows what this winter will bring , maybe snow maybe rain. but it's changing for sure, I knew enough to move from 8 track to cassette to CD and now to streaming Change is happening and buying stock in Blockbuster was never a good idea .

  6. Quit whining about no ATV/UTV riding. Nobody really wants it. Except for maybe you and five others. So shut up about it already. Go tear up your backyard and come up with some far fetched inaccurate numbers about some other state. The only one waaaa about anything is you. Give it a rest.

As usual stating facts is something you know nothing about, understanding the world around you before spouting off you should try it Waaa !!!!

  8. That's personal preference, with atv dedicated trails the experience is much different. But like yourself I prefer sleds.

    1. Make sure you swap out the slides with boggy wheels and tires for skis works best in the dirt

    1. Or, they could take up golfing. Wack a ball as hard as you can, then run after it.

  12. Pittsburgh New Hampshire allows atv/utv and there trails are unbelievable. There worst day of snowmobiling is Old Forge’s best day so I don’t want to hear all they do is destroy the trails. But unfortunately, there is no way Old Forge is going to allow them. Go to Branham and Tug Hill for that

  13. Old Forge doesn't want to change with the times. So people are going to go to places that do, and O.F. will be closing the doors.
