Well Ride Safe Keep Right 518 Looks like no one is interested in trying something different with UTV'S. Like you said it will end up like kodak, its coming.
Kodak was mismanaged. There’s nothing you can do about mother nature you can’t compare the two. Opening the trails for Other than snowmobiles will be a disaster for the trails…. Then there will be another issue are you crybabies have to crab about.
Kodak had the opportunity to buy the digital format for film and passed ,true mismanagement causing it to ultimately fail. They never adapted and died .Brantingham the Hill all allow UTVs in the summer with wheels .Most of the roads in OF are gravel or as you may know season non maintained the “trails” won’t be destroyed and as for mud water troughs at the trail heads . Every problem has a solution. Some town will adapt. It’s not crying in your coffee people like to enjoy the outdoors. Ride Safe Keep Right (518)
Agreed the cost of keeping the doors open, employee retention they all have bills , don’t be surprised if “oh I can’t believe they closed “ what happened to the employees, where do you think they store owners get their money from. … government
So, if you do the research you will find that we are actually at the end of a ice age. That equates to low snow falls. And warming temps. Now The 64 thousand dollar question is when does the pendulum start to go the other way? Could be a year, could be a hundred years. That’s just it, nobody knows!! Not the climate alarmists or the so-called experts! I’m from PA so I’m used to low to no snow but when it doesn’t snow in the mountains that’s just sad to see.
Old Forge needs to seriously look into opening the trails to sxs and ATV’s. I spent 6 weeks this year in WV riding the Hatfield McCoy trail system, it was amazing!!! Maybe the town officials should talk to those folks. The system is ran perfectly, instead of groomers they run dozers and keeps hundreds of people employed. The only problem in WV is lodging that I could see.
Gheez 1986-2003 we spent every winter weekend in Old Forge and Christy’s and can remember riding every sno deo ,new years weekend and every weekend after that right up until St Patrick’s day … I can honestly say those were the good ole days !! A highlight was an occasional guys night ride with Steve ….
Another lost season this is pathetic

It could be a damn good year round business IF managed right,if the town doesn't want to do it the land should be sold to someone that does.
DeleteYou’re not gonna win with mother nature. Find something else you can in the outdoors. it does no good to crab about it!
DeleteTeam D and D quit riding in 2010
