Hope everyone has a Happy and Safe New Year!
The cold has returned and all we need now is a few good dumps of snow that isn't predicted. Because the forecast has some snow in it, but not anything worth talking about. Yesterday we started seeing some mud here and there. But the cold is freezing things back down and if we do see snow it with stick right away.
Did everyone get what they wanted from Santa? For those of you that asked for SNOW. Sorry we didn't get it. Wishing you a Great Christmas Day!

It looks like we may have a white Christmas here in Old Forge. But the day after Christmas it's going to go downhill again. I looked back at the old reservation charts and the last three years we didn't have riding till the middle of January. Not that there is really anything to report. But I figured I'd put a video together, so you have one of snow to look at.

Here's a short time lapse for the day. Trail crews have packed the snow we do have and it is turning in to base. Not enough to ride yet, but maybe soon. If the latest forecast really happens.

We got snow, but nothing close to what was predicted. It was good wet packing snow and will freeze down fast over the next few days.

I didn't get a chance to stop by Snodeo, but it looked like they had a pretty good turnout for the event. One of the rooms I had in on Friday night was here to compete in the 120 races on Saturday. Here's a time lapse of Saturday at the rec. center.
