I'd like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas !
It's been very quiet around town, when it comes to sled traffic. Have a few rooms in making the best of what we got. I'm sure some of you have noticed the cams are out on the top of McCauley. The 18 below the other night wasn't liked by some of the equipment and I'm working on getting it repaired.
Today's Video...……….
Hey Steve,
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours and thanks for all you do here in Old Forge to promote our sport!
TEAM DD
Thanks merry christmas to you Steve.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Steve hope all is well.Melanie and love the videos its our mountain fix.thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe million dollar question, should I come up and ride tomorrow? Friday and Saturday are looking like a bust. How did the trails hold up today.
ReplyDeleteAll depends on how bad you want to ride. Conditions aren't anything to write home about. Have a few rooms in and they are making the best of it. The may be the smart ones. Because if the forecast comes true. It may be a week before we see any conditions to ride on again.
DeleteMerry Christmas steve. Thank you for all you do and your video’s every day. Enjoy the holidays.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Steve
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! All the best
ReplyDeleteThe Fabulous 4 prepared along with Aubrie Sellers intended to converge on the TOW but unfortunately mother nature intervened and screwed us from making the trip up from Tennessee to ride the renound TOW trails system. We will try again nest month.
ReplyDeleteHey Team DD,Fab 4, Pike Bros, Indian Jim and any other name you go by.
ReplyDeleteBy the looks of the web cams at Daikers the lake is in perfect condition for your test run !!!!
Hi Steve, is the temperature on the old forge Web came accurate as it always seems different than your thermometer and the one on NOAA. Today it showed 8-12 deg and yours showed 40 deg.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what is going on with it. I reset it a few weeks ago and it was reading the same as others in the area. But after the R it is WAY off again.
ReplyDeleteMy family Christmas vacation has come to an end. Just got back to Georgia. To be totally honest, I really didn't want to leave. Glad the wife and kids got to enjoy a taste of winter. My wife and I grew up north, but my son and daughter were born in Ga. and never really get to experience a true winter. Not many opportunities to get the family to Old Forge during the winter because of school. I can still hear the excitement in my son and daughter's voices as the snow got deeper and deeper as we got closer and closer to OF. If they only knew that the amount of snow on the side of Rt. 28 and the snow piles in the parking lots are nothing in comparison to when Mother Nature finally gets her act together. The drive up brought back so many great memories of snowmobiling in the North Country when I was younger. Shout out to the TOW groomers for all the hard work and time that is put in to make the best conditions possible with the limited snow for the Christmas Holiday. Had a great time even though we were land locked to the OF trails. I also got to put some miles on my new sled which was one of the things I wanted to get accomplished. Thanks again Steve for everything. As always, our stay at Christy's was awesome. I'll be doing my snow dance for a snowy winter. Can't wait to get back to OF at the end of January. Until then 'See Ya'.
