Unlike many of the areas south of us, winter isn't going away very fast this year. We are still waiting for all out spring to get here in the north country. We've woken up to a coating of snow three of the last seven mornings. As soon as the sun comes out it melts off. But it still gets to you, when you take that first look outside for the day and see snow.
Short summer in the woods, pray for sun
ReplyDeleteCould this mean something for the end of the year ? ...... Hmmmm.......
ReplyDeleteComing up 3rd week of may, should I be concerned about black flies? Or don't worry about it
ReplyDeleteAll depends on the weather and what you are planning on doing during your visit to the area. In town they aren't to much of a problem, as they treat the streams for them. But if you plan on going out into the woods. They may be a problem, all depending on how the warm the weather is.

ReplyDeleteHi,
DeletePeak foliage most years is the last week of Sept. and the first week of Oct. But we start seeing the colors change not to far into Sept. Your best beat to see what is going on is watch the webcam network at www.oldforge.net
Hope this helped,
