Cross your fingers............

We had some R later this afternoon.  Nothing that really did much damage and the new snow soaked it up.  Looks like the temp is going to drop later tonight with snow coming back to the area.  So things should freeze back up and this could all work out for the best.  Making the base that much harder and thicker.  Keep tuned to the cams to see what's going on.

It's been snowing all morning.  Nothing big, got and inch or two.  But at this point I'll take whatever we can get.

Not much to report..............

Traffic was lighter today than the last few days.  Saw a few sleds at Stillwater around lunch time and a few getting gas across the street.  But besides that it's pretty quiet around here.  I'm sure most of you are watching the flip flop forecast for this week.  So let's hope it turns for the better and we get some snow, so we can get out riding again.

I reset the system on top of McCauley yesterday.  But by the time I got home it was off again.   So I'll get it back online ASAP.  It's having a connection problem with the router at the base.

What to say..............

I really don't like it when conditions are like this.  I got many calls today wanting to know what the conditions are like. What do you say?  Stay home or come up.  It all depends on what you're looking for.  Can you ride ….yes.  I didn't go out on the trails to see first hand how they are.  But I would guess that things are thin in areas and are holding up because of the light traffic.

The cams on top of McCauley and the trail went down this morning.  I'm hoping they'll reset in the morning.  If not it's off to the top to do it in person.

Update..........

11:45am and we still have light snow coming from the sky.  Radar shows it's from Old Forge north to the top of the county.  Snow total is around 4 inches.  Not enough to ride yet in my book.  But it's a start and more to come next week by the way it looks.  More later...……...
