 WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 AM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
up to 8 inches between Routes 8 and 28, and up to 2 feet north of
Route 28.

* WHERE...Northern Herkimer County.

* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 7 AM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult along and north of Route 28.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.

 The snow started early in the morning and it hasn't stopped yet.  The heaviest snow has been to the south of Utica by what I see on the radar.  However Winter Storm Warning states snow to increase in the afternoon hours for our area. Snowfall rates could exceed an inch an hour.  As always time will tell.

It's White...........

 We woke up to a light coating of snow this morning.  After looking at the radar. I'd say it came of the lake.  Forecast is calling for snow showers this morning.  But don't get too excited.  Going to be in the 40's Wednesday.
