Please know............

Last night and this afternoon I heard of reports involving sleds in the water.  Please know where you are going and if you don't know, STAY off the lakes.  Knowing first hand, from a white water rafting trip in the spring.  How fast the cold water will zap the strength out of your body, it's not something you want to try out.

Today's Video for................

  1. hi,to all you Polaris riders. We have been riding up here in old forge since last sunday. We had a bad break on one of our sleds on Thursday night. We have been riding her for thirty years and try to do as much business with the local Polaris dealer Dons Polaris. We would personally like to thank Jamie and there the mechanic Lauren for getting our sled back on the trail in less then six hours. We live in pa but its nice to know that Dons Polaris was nice enough to get us back on the trail. So if you are a Polaris rider stop in and say hi to Jamie and his staff. Thanks again Dons Polaris. Chris and Teresa

    1. Lauren is amazing. He had us back on the trails in 4 hours last year after breaking a drive shaft! Jane and I are going to be in OF the 10th - 14th. I have to show you the jack we created :) Hope to see you there.

    5. Who said I was mad at anyone? I'm just stating the facts. There isn't a public bathroom at Don's Polaris and by the way, it was his sister in law, not his wife.

    1. Wouldn't expect it to look any different than it does. Temps where just at freezing or just above yesterday. Who knows how many thousands of studs went up and down that road yesterday breaking up the snow pack on it. Got about three inches of snow over night. So yes it had to be plowed and that's what it's going to look like after the snow pack breaks up, it's not pretty. I have to plow my driveway after everyone clears out and I'm hoping it doesn't go down to the black top. With all the salt the state puts on 28 and the temps yesterday even my driveway is soft..

    5. Really, "studs don't tear up ice". How about studs tear up black top. So do you really think ice has a chance.

    1. steve glad to see you still have a sense of humor! after a winter like this. maybe both of us will be shark fishing this summer! only a funny!

    2. Not that you'll believe me. But the sand mix the town puts down on the roads, only has enough salt in it to keep it from freezing into a big pile. Now, if you want to talk about someone putting down salt, just look at a state DOT truck.
