Four Cams.......

Four of the cams on www.oldforge.net work off of the same DSL connection and it is down.  It went off line Friday morning in the early AM and it hasn't come back on.  I walked into the office at McCauley Mountion this morning and tried to reset it, but no luck.  So for now the three cams at McCauley and the trail cam will be off line.

    1. Hi John,

Thanks for the offer! It came down to a problem with the DSL line. I may need your help on a different project I'm working on, if I can't figure it out.

  2. Steve, I have been following your blog for a few years now. We come up usually with no plans and ride with really no destination...I was wondering if you could give me and my group some heads up. I was hoping to learn the trails a little better this year. Could you make a suggestion on what a great loop would be? Any website I could download a trail map? Chuck

    1. Hi Chuck,

Thanks for reading and watching and sorry it took me so long to get back to you! As for a loop to take, it all depends on the year. Last year riding was limited and other years you can ride to Canada from here. For the local trail map you can call or write the Old Forge info center. Here is also a link to an interactive trail web map that should help you out on seeing what trails are in the area around us.

    2. This interactive trail web map looks like it is going to have an app for smart phones this year. So keep an eye on it, for what maps you will be able to load up.

  3. Get a hold of the Inlet Barnstormers snowmobile club.. Web site.. They have organized trail rides once a week.. Not a bad day out for getting to know the area beyond trail, 1.

    1. Hi ACZ1turbo,

Most years I wait till just before SnoDeo to move the cam. Because there really isn't much to look at till the snow starts to fly and sleds start going past.

      Thanks for watching,
      Steve
