What will it be?
Forecast is looking better for Tuesday and Wednesday than it did yesterday. Cross your fingers that we see limited R, just enough to help make some base. Long range forecast temps are looking good, let's just hope we get them.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM TUESDAY TO 5 AM EST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches for elevations above 1500 feet and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

5:30pm Report
The snow has pretty much come to an end and after looking at the radar I'd say it's over. We got 9 to 10 inches from the storm. The snow isn't as wet as I thought it was going to be, but it's wet enough to pack down when you drive on it.

Accumulations totaling 6 to 10 inches with locally higher amounts near 12 inches in higher terrain regions of the Southwest Adirondacks and Southern Greens are expected. Winds gusting as high as 30 to 40 mph in the higher terrain areas. * WHERE...Mohawk and Schoharie Valleys, Greater Capital Region, southern Vermont, Lake George and Saratoga Region, and the Southern Adirondacks.

Looking better...........
The storm heading up the coast is looking better for us by the hour. But like always you never know till it's all said and done on what we'll get from a north easter. Fourth Lake has ice on it after the low temps on Thursday night Friday morning. Keep an eye on the webcams to see how things are going.

Chilly tonight..........
The lakes will be cooling down tonight and maybe getting some ice on them with a low of 7. Forecast may not be the best. But at least it has cold temps and some snow in it.
