Spring is just around the corner here in the north country.  With it will come black fly season.  I'm hoping it's a short one.

 WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 2 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 7
inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Herkimer County.

Still Snowing!

 It's not over yet.  Had two to three inches on the deck this morning and fourth lake had a thin coating of ice again.  But it's going fast today with the sun out.

Almost open..........

 Fourth lake is almost ice free.  So, it won't be long before the dam will be closed to bring up the lake level.
