Thanks for all the kind words and support on the webcams. There was more discussion about them at the August meeting and then a special meeting also. But in the end the town has decided they need to install their own cameras. I was asked to keep my cameras online till they have theirs up and running and I have. But it's been months now and I've needed some of my equipment for new locations that I'm doing. So that's the reason McCauley Mountain has been offline. But in the end, it really has worked out for the best. I've been able to bring some great new great locations for you to see.
Today's Video..............
27 years ago you started you’re vlog. Now there’s a problem?
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect example of how this country works. Someone comes up with a great idea that actually helps people and some bureaucrat ruins it. We all know that government never gives only takes!
But you are right about changing things up. Love the new cameras. I was getting tired of looking at the bridge. Screw those blue hair liberals. Nobody is going to be looking at their lame web cams.
Great job Steve on the new cameras. Really loving the new locations you picked. Alot more variety with all the different spots to see what's going on up there in the North Country.
ReplyDeleteBest of Luck Steve , Cream always rises to the top !! It's real easy to watch from afar and think it's something they can do better. best to tear the band aide off.
ReplyDeletesmall town politic bullshit. they should worry about hiring more crew members for grooming. or putting up more infrastructure for the visitors. I’ve been coming upstate now for about 30 years. The housing market is horrific. You think they would worry about that. People in the community are moving out do to prices getting risen from the Airbnb community. Absolutely ridiculous. Better regulation and hiring more crew members is where they should start.
ReplyDeleteSteve great job on the videos and cameras. I was a town councilman for 20 years and I think they really screwed you royal. Its total BS about security. Your site is far more secure than any Town could think of. Please provide a link if you set up your own camera network , especially a trail camera. No one wants to look at Trail 5, especially when it goes to hell (every day)!!!
ReplyDeleteSteve after seeing the meeting minutes and the direction the town is going, would like for you to put in a proposal to run the town webcams and continue your excellent reporting of the real conditions in Webb.
ReplyDelete27 years and the "vision". 4 months later and they still don't have the trail cams up.
ReplyDeleteA railroad job at the very least.
I'm so sorry for you Steve. People like you make a differnce.
I'll always "See Ya".
I offered at the last board meeting to bring McCauley and the trail cam back online. But they didn't take me up on the offer.
DeleteWhat’s the Batman reference die a hero or live long enough to become a villain
DeleteTommy G. will make it better. Out with the old and in with new leadership. Stay tuned Steve!
