We got spoiled...............

The last few weeks got us spoiled, with old time trail conditions and all the roads frozen down solid.  Now conditions are back to what we have seen the last few years.  Is it picture prefect?  No, but you are able to get some seat time in.  Two different groups went out today and both of them did a hundred plus miles.

Today's Video.............

  2. Thanks for showing the Indian Head. My mom has repainted every 2-3 years for about the last 30 years. She was so upset when someone shot the nose off!
    Thanks again

  5. Thanks for all the comments on the Indian. Mom will be thrilled. She never wanted anyone to know who it was that did it all these years because she's pretty humble. And yes, originally the head had a much better profile because it had very prominent nose. One hunting season about 20 years ago someone shot it and took the nose off. Not the brightest bulb on the tree! Anyways, she was so upset that she almost stopped painting it. I'm glad she changed her mind. It was always an all day outing to paint the head. Dad would bleach and scrub all of the moss and mold off, then mom would paint and the grandkids would explore. When she was done they'd all sit and have a basket lunch surrounding her Indian. Dad has since passed and mom finds it difficult sometimes to keep up the tradition without him but I think she'll keep it going as long as she can. Love that woman with all my heart!! Enjoy everyone, that's why she does it!!

  6. Any connection to the pilgrims before the 30 years??? Not much payback after stealing theyre land by just painting such an obscene gesture. But I guess respect is given in different ways by different folks here in Gods country..

    1. Before the 30 years someone had painted it well prior and it was extremely faded so she gave it a touch up and has maintained ever since. Thanks for being like the rest of our thin skinned society and taking offense by the what things "might" represent instead of seeing the simple intention of hmmmm that's neat, the profile looks like an Indian. You probably hate the rock that looks like a Pigs head on route 30 too. Lighten up and enjoy what life has to offer.
