Guess what.........

They got it right this time.  We have two plus feet of fresh snow and maybe more to come on Wednesday.  I'm sure some of you thought, I fell off the face of the earth.   Because I didn't post anything all day Tuesday.  When the snow first started it was an everyday event.  But early afternoon it kicked into high gear and all I did from around 2pm on, was plow and snow blow.  If the long range forecast holds true, we'll be riding till closing day this year after all.

Today's Video.............

He's been taking trash all season I think we should rename him PA Eeyore for all his pessimistic gloomy rants What would it be like to be his wife she must want close the door shut the lights off and cry.

  8. Anyone who has been in this game long enough knows to NEVER doubt March , passes used to run to 4/15 ... Back in the day. March can be amazing with Big late season storms and veterans have seen excellent late season riding from big storm snow and low traffic . Really if your in the sport and you gonna whine piss and moan during February ....just spewing ignorance, then your gonna man up and take your medicine now. It's a blog for reports and information relevant to riding, not your uneducated opinion base master . I'll rack up 400 miles Friday to Sunday , why don't u go to Sesame Street and punch Kermit , enough with you you're all done here ..... PA SLED WEAK

  11. whats the chance the TOW can extend the season to at least April 3rd, by what I just saw on accuweather thers no warm in sight next 15 days, Im sure a lot of people, riders and businesses would benefit greatly.what a shame to close the gates on excellent spring conditions

  12. TOW insurance binder is in stone.. Extension i$ almost impossible.. Without a ton of liability charges for a few days

  13. They had a ton of money leftover from last year trail passes

    1. How do you figure that ? No-Low snow amounts last year = reduced trail permits sold + the same amount of labor for the TOW employee, insurance - maintenance fuel cost they most likely Lost money in fact they should have a separate (optional) donation section for the rescue squad all and all 85.00 mid season trail pass is still the least expensive item on the snowmobile VAST , SAM way more, I think they cut the season down is because of traffic I rode in april only saw the people I was with don't get me wrong would love to ride till May but it has to end sometime.

    3. anon at 1152 hrs THIS^^^^^^ U sir, arer a man of knowledge. What is the annual budget of the local rescue companies? Is revenue dependent on Local/ state funding or dnations.. Its a shame our volunteers in Emergecny service seem mostly dependent on local funding which by and far isn't allthat much even in some of the richest communities kin the nation such as Bergen or North NJ and pretty much Southeastern and western pa.. Tho Ive seen some Petty and I mean petty anomalies of spending I such communities with very little justification. Id be willing to bet excessive spending in tow and surrounding communities are much more necessary . Take N NJ for instance. evry little town in Bergen has multi millions in apparatus alone that is probably unnecessary..

    1. Wouldn't even think about going back to a straight blade. You can stack snow soooo much higher with a V and that is a big thing when you have limited space to put snow. This one is 9'6" and it's a Fisher XV2. Don't remember what the price was, but it's worth it to me. Went through 2 to 3 feet, like a hot knife in butter.
