One two punch...........

Great snow from the storm yesterday and lake effect today.  So we got a one two punch in the last 24 hours that has brought the conditions to the best they have been all season so far.  You don't want to miss out on these conditions.  Heck I'd say it's to the point of being a sick day in my book.

Today's Video..........

  1. It is the best it's been in a long, lomg time. I just got in from a quick 88.8 mile run from 2PM-7PM. Went out to Raquette Lake and had one and some small talk at the Tap Room after hanging out by the running ambulance that was by the boat. I feared the worst but it was something to do with a local at their camp out there. Went the round about way via Bug Lake (right up the hill off Uncas Road) and Seventh Lake Forest trail and all around and up and around on the way back. Last night (Sunday night) I saw more groomers than sleds. Whoever plows Uncas Road must do it like he's competing for a medal. Every time after a big storm it's always down to almost pavement within hours...amazing really.

  2. Sorry dude but Team DD and the fastgirls rule the OF area and as far as the boys from Jersey they are more than welcome to come north anytime.

    1. That kind of statement keeps a lot of families spending they're money elsewhere. It's not a sno x track or a drag strip its a groomed trail system with a speed limit. Muffin patch ... Done .... Hardware store done .... Muffin patch .... Done ..... And what's not for sale . Keep using old forge as u r and people see sleds head on @ 60 80 mph when touring with families ..... Well you get the picture .

    1. Hopefully anywhere and everywhere. They are trying to make the trails safe for those of us who ride responsibly. If you do not like it, find some where else to ride. We are always happy to see them on the trails.

  6. Just spent a few days riding on some of the best trails we've had in years. Brantingham trail was a little rough but that's expected on a Saturday. Best part of weekend was when we were riding back from Daikers on trai 5 with my family in a group of 5 and we got passed on a curve by three riders who almost ran my daughter of the trail, and about 5 minutes later we catch up to them pulled over by the town of Webb police. Sweet justice!!! We need a little more of it in Old Forge.

  7. The exhaust thing is hilarious. Morons spending money to make their sled unbearable to any all all around them BUT it weighs 4 pounds less...haha It's a retail division, stock, designed for trail riding sled folks. I hope they all get tickets. The parents out there buying them the pipes is hard to understand. Most wouldn't last 1 lap on a real track. Get your clutch work done and lose body weight if you want performance improvement.

    1. Would you last 1 lap on a real track? Just because you cant handle the sound of a loud sled dosent mean a thing. As it is you probably ride a 4 stroke POS

    2. OK anonymous. You got me. We're leaving from near Slicker's at about 5:30PM That's about an hour. Come ride with so I can run corner to corner faster, quieter and always further right than you. No curfew I hope because we'll probably do 140 miles just tonight. Maybe in the end you'll learn some manners at the very least. I have a black MXZ X 600-ETEC and I'll be behind the visitors center waiting for the other person I'm riding with. I'll hear you coming ya snow-cross wanna-be....

    3. Just bc someone wants a little tone to there sled with out bothering someone it means a ticket which is ridiculous there's a difference between tone and SNO X or a mountain can. Give it a little rumble everyone looses there mind... To each there own... Just like a Harley on the road no one has 2 cents to say to them now do ya.. I dont mind them doing patrols but if your minding your own business and not cracking it everwhere in town what's the big deal get over it. Its part of the sport and if you do have a mtn sled how are you to get to the boondock area bc we all know those sleds do not sound like a prius
