Hours.................

We woke up this morning and the temp was11.  By mid afternoon our temp was in the 40's, and it changed things in a matter of hours.  We went from good conditions this morning to fair this afternoon.  It looks like temps will drop back down over night and the next two days we will be back to winter temps and weather.  But after that things may go down hill even more.  So enjoy what we have, because who knows what things will be like by next weekend.

Today's Video...........

  5. so glad I came up last week and rode the best of the season...Now it's over. OF will never survive the heat wave of this coming week...you can't rebuild a base this late in the season....amazing how things can turn up there from awesome to total slop in just 72 hours...damn shame !!!

  6. Snowmobile culture is so f'd up...let's get wasted and go for a ride....let's ride to the next bar. Idiots. All I can say is these are just a few of the reasons it's so difficult to find suitable riding partners anymore. Between drinking (or worse) or those that require frequent smoke breaks or just being a pussy and not being able to run at least 15-20 hard miles between breaks it's pretty sad. So many wanna-be trail captains stopping their group short to where some are on or too close to a blind hill or corner (or middle of the trail) and fools riding in the center or left of center who can't even control their machines. Get a clue and educate the ones you know who could use a smack. So the good - I met a very chill cool guy named Bob from Syracuse last Wed. and 3 of us ripped an amazing ride from 9:30AM-6PM stopping for a long "fancy" lunch at the Milk Plant plus a few long breaks to smell the roses. Did about 160 miles or so I think? About the best conditions you could ever imagine. So thankful to not be a weekend warrior or f'n clueless about the sport I love. And to the yahoo's with pipes - it's a stereotype sure but yeah fact is that most who have them are in fact punks and could never articulate reasons why you may want one. Most really think it's for speed, weight and to get attention. Same jackholes that actually SPEED UP when going past a group on the side of a trail or intersection. Or worse ride off trail on private property or goose the throttle around homes and such. If you don't think there are more and more of these types and it's a huge problem then you don't ride enough and/or your head is in the sand. Stop making excuses as you sound like a moron when you try. Nobody riding on groomed trails needs a pipe mod. Most will never know what real trail riding is anyway. The way I do it for example....Peace Oh and thanks again Steve for all you do. Great job!

    1. I know. But I was just hoping I could maybe wake up at least a few because I know a lot read this page. You know the trail captain/rider #1 that really has no business riding up front or teaching all they do wrong to others. Or the horrible parents enabling these younger riders who in all honesty are riding way too much iron and many times with the pipe mods that in turn compound the issues and enhance the shit culture out there. It's always the worst operators and/or big drinkers getting into the accidents, rear ending those in their own group and many times with no reg, no insurance and no hard penalty. I mean some chic broker her leg last Tuesday on Trail #7 - I heard the horn go off at 1PM sharp. Tuesday there was light traffic out there and mint conditions. You tell me that was an accident?? Who puts these fools on sleds in the first place???
