Got snow.............

I forgot to include that we got 2 inches of snow Saturday into Sunday.  It was good wet stuff, but it didn't hold up very well to today's temps and sun.  I also did a little more research on the temps over the last few years.  Because I compared this year to 2015, which isn't really all that fair.  Because 2015 was a very cold winter.  I looked at 2014 and 2016 and here is what I found.

                 2014                             2016
Jan.            13.5                             17.7
Feb.           14.2                             20.2

So even 2016, which was the worst winter I have seen since living in Old Forge, was colder than this years 23 degree average temp.

Today's Video.........

    1. Maybe for you it is. But nothing is out of the question when it comes to north country weather and after living here as long as I have. I know it's not over till they close the gates on March 31st.

    1. I remember going up there in the early 2000's to bring our sleds back to Long Island in late March and on the ride up we here on the radio (before smart phones) about a storm coming in. We ended up getting 18 inches on Friday night. Needless to say we didn't bring the sleds home that weekend. So you never know.

  9. We know our averages are made up of extremes so we are overdue to get clobbered after this year and last year.
