Quik Update...

This morning it almost looked like flurries in the air, but when you went outside it was a drizzle.  However at 10 am there is no question about it, we now have light snow in the air.  Forecast is still talking about a good amount of snow over the next few days.  If it happens we'll be in good shape for the weekend.  More later today.

1:50pm Update  Just like someone flipped a switch the snow has started and with it came the wind.

  1. Lake effect snow from Ontario
should be intensifying overnight, with local cstar lake effect
inland extent program suggesting an inland extent of well over 100
miles, in a west southwest/east northeast orientation. This should
impact far northern Herkimer and northern Hamilton cos much of the
night. Snowfall rates within the band will likely reach or exceed
2-4 inches/hour at times. The band should remain north of northern
Warren County given the expected orientation.

  4. Got my room booked, heading back up Thursday night. I can't pass up this one, too much potential. Time to make up those miles we missed out on last year. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  10. The LE band stayed to the north, look at Stillwater, easily a foot. Just need to head north and west of town. Plus the LE warning goes until Friday at 1pm.
