Did 85.........

Our ride last night didn't go as planned, but we still put on 85 miles.  We headed to Brantingham and went in the back way through the Flats.  There was two areas with wash outs, that we had to go around and that was OK.  As someone else had already made a path in the woods to do it.  But then we encountered a hill that wasn't very nice to one of the sleds that wasn't studded.  No one got hurt and everything is still in one piece.  It just really took the fun out of the ride for the night.  Around Old Forge the ice base seemed to be broken up much more than over towards Brantiingham.  Weather has been better than first predicted and I'm crossing my fingers that we may even see some snow over the next few days.  May not be enough to put us back into riding conditions, but it's better than having it go the other way.

Today's Video............

    1. I don't think the season is toast at all..it'll start to turn by next Friday...if we can avoid the big R until then the base will survive...Only takes a day or 2 of good snow and cold and February and March may turn out pretty good !!..let's hope...

    2. Yes off the 10 mile trail as you incline..take a right and go past stony lake..will seem very odd when you're in there but it's awesome...easy to get lost in there...hence the name confusion flats..next big snow you have to try it..best to do it the first time with someone who knows the area..then you;re good to go.
