Opening Day..............

It's white for the opening day of the snowmobile season.  But there really isn't enough snow to ride on just yet.  However there was a few people out giving it a try.  The snow we got today was a good wet snow that is packing down very nice.  Now we just have to wait and see what the rest of the week will bring us.

Today's Video............

  1. 100 TEAM DD riders have converged on OF already and laid down the 1st tracks? C'mon man! Show us the Team or some tracks!

  2. Yeah good commentary...not enough to ride just yet... maybe over the next week we will get 8 to 10 a little at a time with no rain...that would set up well for Christmas week ride although it will be limited...after last year's train wreck any ride in December would be sweet !!

  3. Who is this team DD that's always talked about? If it's suppose to be funny, it's a bit played out day after day

  5. TEAM DD started out back in 1980s as the infamous Dirty Dozen. They were a group of rough necks whom rode hard and caused mayhem around the old forge area. They ran other riders off the trails, smashed and collided with them and they all rode big bore Arctic Cats. Town of Webb officials finally ran them out of town. They wound up in Vermont. Now they have infiltrated back into the old forge area along with their offspring as Team Dirty Dozen. While they don't have Dirty Dozen painted across their hoods like years ago, they do ride big Cats and tend to ride in a group. If you see a group riding really fast and all big cats this season it's likely them.

  6. We rode yesterday. We were the guys that came in the black Tahoe and white trailer in the video. We rode for 36 miles very gingerly. Will return on friday! It was great to go out on opening day. It was a moral victory considering how bad last year was.

  8. Wow TEAM DD sounds like a great bunch of guys NOT. Please stop it is so old and ridiculous and adds absolutely no value. Hey Anonymous maybe you and Team DD could give the lakes a rip today and post back letting us know how they are.

Another idea would be we sacrifice one of their infamous and fictitious Thundercats to the snow god so that he shifts the winds and drops ~10" of lake effect on us tomorrow. Fingers crossed and there is a chance we have something to spin on for Friday

  10. We need that snowbelt to come right over old forge. And if we do we cannot ride snodeo!! We need to let the groomers do their thing for better riding in January.

  13. There's a trail in OF that has been shut down the last few years because of beaver dam (dont quote me on that) and I cant remember which trail it was, maybe trail 10? I was just wondering if that trail will remain closed this season?

People should stop giving Team ** attention on this blog and they should fizzle out eventually. From all the comments I have read, it sure seems like they're trying to deter people from OF more than anything. If I was Steve I would consider not approving their comments, it's not good for business.

    1. There has been a few times where upper 10 by the beaver dam was impassable but not closed for the season. If there is another one its not in the TOW trails as far as I know. Last year everything might has well of been "closed"

  14. Team DD was founded by the Gronkowski family. A friend of a friend of My cousin's Said part of strength training was ditching a BIG BORE HEAVY HITTER just to get it back on the trail on 10 with those Huge Moguls and Hills. Sweattin just thinking about trying to bring one back on trailbout a half clik before BM road. No better way to train The Gronk back when HS football was over at seasons start..
