Just about............

The light snow we got yesterday is just about gone today.  The sun was out and with the temps right around the 32 mark most of the day, that new snow didn't stand a chance.  I'm crossing my fingers that we start to see some snow cover before the cold temps move in towards the end of the week.  It's no fun when things start freezing up!

Today's Video............

  3. There will be no grooming this week either...nothing to groom and nothing in the forecast either...presidents week is shot to hell just like the rest of the season....many sleds for sale out of frustration...

  4. I'm really getting tired of looking at my $2,000 street bike and a $ 9,000 sled that I use three times a year what a waste I guess it should be the other way around that much keep the faith and the negativity the only thing to look forward to

  5. Old Forge should be ashamed of themselves. I can not believe they are saying up to 4 inch base. There might be some areas of 4 inches of Ice but that's stretching it. Lets tell the truth. It's not a great year to go sledding. Hopefully things will change.

    4. What do you think the overhead stops because theres no snow? Thats a year round dept. The little bit of fuel that is used isnt a piss hle in a snow bank.

    5. Maybe this year the town can aford a ruler to check that base and get it right next year. Steve can you zoom that trail cam in so we can better tell the condition of the trails and base for this week

    6. Anonymous, if money is that tight for you, you have no business going up to Old Forge to snowmobile. Stay home and play board games

    7. What kind of bureaucratic answer is that? Fuel costs for a grooming operation is small on what planet? Less OT... Less wear and tear on equipment? Its a year round operation? Huh? So they are sitting around in July waiting to groom the trails? Make sense, my friend. I live in the real world.

    1. It goes to the school system to further educate our young ones and add after school activities. Does that answer your question?? You probably think the local tow folks are pocketing it. NOT!

    1. I happen to live on longisland. I'm good with my money spent on any kid to help educate further. To bad people don't think like that, everyone is out for themselves.
