Is it?

Is this storm going to be the one that gives us a chance to get some riding in?  It looks like it's going to be wet snow.  So if we get enough to do something with and then the below zero temps right after it.  It could freeze down into something to ride on.  But only time will tell.

I looked back over my records today and this was the worst Feb. I've had in 26 years.  The next worst was 1998 and that year I rented five more room nights.  As for the season, if things keep going the way they have been.  This will also turn out to be the worst season in 26 years.  But that I won't know till the end of March.  Because anything is possible when it comes to weather and the north country.

Today's Video.............

  3. Hey Steve, really hope its snows for your sake.We all know not a good year for business this winter in ny.All I here is everyone crying they cant ride, well ladies and gents,if it does snow don't forget to tip the help well. They are the people that count on all us crazy sledders to come to town and spend any amount of money to ride our snowmobiles.Yeah we could not ride this year like were used to, but how about the people that depend on us so they can feed there family. What a messed up world we live in.

  5. Ok folks I have spent the last couple of days reading your blogs. I want to sum up my season and put most of you complainers to rest......I have ridden snowmobiles for over 30 years now and all over in NY and Canada. I live 30 miles south of Rochester and have some of the most beautiful scenic groomed trails anyone could ask for. In short thank good for OF this year. Ya we couldn't ride as fast and furious as we would like. Yes more wear and tear on our equipment and vehicles yes little more bumby. But I am thankful for the riding I could do because we had hardly any riding at home. I am thankful for the new experiences and friends I got to meet. I look forward to next year and for those who want to cry and wine I wish you a safe and happy summer.......I HAD A GREAT SNOWMOBILING SEASON I MADE THE BEST OF IT.......thank you all from OF who made it possible!

So glad you have a great attitude becasue I sure as hell don't !!!...hopefully my depression will wear off soon as the weather gets nicer...Kinda hard to forget what mother nature took away from us this year...Who the hell would have thought to ride those fair conditions in late January becasue that was the last good riding the area would see in 2016...still boggles the mind..
